This challenge needs no introduction. It's just a lot. For part 2 of the finale, you'll be filling in a sudoku grid. However, you'll be given no numbers to start out with. The numbers you'll need to complete the grid will be found in 81 smaller puzzles of various types. Each of your team members will be provided with 27 of these puzzles, as well as what coordinates on your grid they correspond with. For example, a team member may be given the coordinate "B4" along with a corresponding kakuro puzzle with a blank square highlighted yellow. That means whatever number goes in that blank once the puzzle is solved is the number that goes in coordinate B4 of your sudoku grid. You will not need to solve all 81 puzzles, as you will eventually be able to solve the sudoku as you would normally solve one. Guessing should not be required. There is only one allowed solution. If your submission is incorrect, you'll be told how many mistakes you have and to keep going until you are correct. You are prohibited from getting your teammates' help on any of your 27 puzzles or sharing them with your team. You cannot use outside sources to help solve any puzzles. The list of mini-puzzles that you'll have to solve are listed below, along with a link explaining the rules to each. The way you'll get a number from each puzzle will vary; if a space is highlighted in yellow, you'll know it's simply whatever number goes there, but for some puzzles special rules will be given for determining the resulting number. --Kakuro: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakuro--Kenken: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KenKen--Nonogram: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonogram--Neighbours: www.brainbashers.com/neighbours.asp--Skyscrapers: www.puzzle-skyscrapers.com/--Futoshiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futoshiki--Logic grid puzzle: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logic_puzzle#Logic_grid_puzzles--Word search: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_search--Alphametic: www.tkcs-collins.com/truman/alphamet/alphamet.shtmlYou have 72 hours to finish the challenge. The team that is able to get the most cells of the sudoku grid filled in correctly in the fastest time will win part 2.

To clarify, each member of your team will receive the same quantity of each type of puzzle.

We will be giving generous extensions since we didn’t anticipate the challenge taking as long as it has!

How did the Purple Team do? Sorsha completed her portion of the puzzle with no mistakes, but there were 30 mistakes in the other two portions. How did the Navy Team do? . . . . . . They finished the puzzle in about 6 hours! Great teamwork, and great job keeping this finale going on until the end of time. Part 3 will be posted shortly.
